My first encounter with Tango happened when a friend of mine took me to a milonga in Bangalore, India. (May 2012). I was captivated by it and soon I found myself attending classes, a few months later. But my Tango addiction only began a year later and that’s when I started to take private lessons from visiting teachers, started attending festivals within and outside of India(Istanbul, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand) to learn and improve myself as a dancer.

I then travelled to Buenos Aires, root of Argentine Tango for 3 months to train, live and experience Tango in its full glory. I used this opportunity to learn from some of the best maestros.

This experience made me realize how beautiful, soulful and enlightening Tango is. I also saw a stark difference in the Tango technique or the lack of it here when compared to Buenos Aires. That’s when and why I decided to teach.

My goal now is to share this beautiful dance, Tango, with anyone who is willing to learn; and most importantly to spread its joy.  To teach Tango with right technique.

I still constantly travel to take classes, learn and improve my teaching technique.

A little bit about me: I have been dancing all through my life. I started with Indian Classical Dance; Bharathanatyam when I was young. I turned to Bollywood during my high school and college years. As an adult, I have been dancing Salsa for over 12 years now… which I still love and dance every week and organize socials.

I am an embedded software engineer by profession. I quit my job to explore and enjoy life. Right now I Tango, make dance-wear and costumes and code in my spare time. 😉
